PVC Type 1 - Normal impact resistance, excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, easy to fabricate, weld or process.
SIMONA® PVC Type I CRP-1 – This superior FM 4910 and UL 94 V-0 PVC has higher impact strength and better weldability than PVC-C and other semiconductor-grade PVCs (welding rods available). It can withstand typical wet bench cabinet operating temperatures, strong acids and bases, and ultrapure water (UPW) exposure. Its uniform white color and surface gloss provide superior cleanroom aesthetics compared to PVC-C materials. This material is ideal for wet tool cabinets, chemical distribution equipment and valve boxes, semiconductor process enclosures, clean room cabinets, rinse modules, wafer transfer interfaces, dry tool enclosures and electrical cabinets.
Clear PVC Type 1 – Clear PVC has excellent chemical resistance and good impact strength, making it an excellent alternative to clear plastics such as acrylic and polycarbonate. The UL 94 V-0 rating makes it ideal for applications in semiconductor, pharmaceutical and even food service or processing environments that require flame retardant materials for windows and clear partitions. Clear PVC is thermoformable and easy to process or manufacture.
PVC Type 2 – High impact resistance, excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, easy to fabricate, weld or process.
CPVC - CPVC sheet that is resistant to high temperatures and corrosion. Excellent corrosion resistance at high temperatures.
Antimicrobial Panels - PALCLAD™ PRO HYG antimicrobial PVC wall covering system kills or inhibits the growth of a wide range of pathogens, helping to maintain a sterile environment.
Bonding PVC – This is easily accomplished with Plexus® MA300, a fast-setting methacrylate adhesive that creates a stronger bond than the PVC itself.
Tech Tip - PVC is also flame retardant and is specially formulated to meet FM 4910 fire protection standards in semiconductor and clean room applications.
